Off the beaten path, nestled back in the
Florida Pines, at the end of a long gravel driveway, sits a lovely
country house. Beyond the rockers on the porch, past the cat curled up
by the fireplace, tucked way in the back of the house, you’ll find a
special little shop. Piney Patch Quiltworks, Inc. is an on-line
quilt shop, established in January of 2008 and is very proud to feature
the best there is in quality quilting fabrics, kits and supplies and
also some really exceptional handmade gifts and other treasures.
The company’s owner & operator, Linda
Thompson, a quilter herself, was trained the best way there is, by her
mother, a multi-talented artist, quilter, and quilt teacher. Linda
spent 30+ years working “a real job” in the computer industry and
raising a family, and was only able to indulge in quilting and other
creative pursuits after the kids were in bed and the dishes done. In
2004, she and husband Kerry (at this point empty nesters) left the big
city rat race and moved to Florida’s Nature Coast, where they built a
big country home on ten acres of land.
Linda soon
realized that this was the perfect place for her to have her heart’s
desire, her very own quilt shop Mixing her knowledge of business and
computers and her passion for everything “quilt-like”, she created
Piney Patch Quiltworks, Inc.
Linda started small, with a few bolts of
fabric, some patterns and lots of enthusiasm, desire, and support from
family and friends. With new fabrics arriving weekly and Linda and her
crew constantly creating new kits, patterns, and gifts, there is always
something new to shop for. We sure do hope you find exactly what you are
